  • target audience-In marketing and advertising, a target audience, or target group is the primary group of people that something, usually an advertising campaign, is aimed at appealing to.
  • message- A verbal, written, or recorded communication sent to or left for a recipient who cannot be contacted directly.
  • work ethic-The principle that hard work is intrinsically virtuous or worthy of reward.
  • employability skills- Skills relating to choosing a career, getting and keeping a job, making job and career changes, and career advancement.
  • 20/20 Rule- where u rest your eyes for 20 seconds.
  • Right-To-Know Laws-Legislation or regulation that requires an employer or producer to disclose full information on hazardous materials disposed.
  • icon-A symbol or graphic representation on a video display terminal of a program, option, or window, esp. one of several for selection
  • vector-based graphics- is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygon(s), which are all based on mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics.
  • specs/specifications of a project- An act of describing or identifying something precisely or of stating a precise requirement.
  • dialog box (within an application)- A small area on screen, in which the user is prompted to provide information or select commands.  
  • palette (within an application)-The range of colors used by a particular artist or in a particular picture. 
  • guidelines-A general rule, principle, or piece of advice.
  • extensions- A part that is added to something to enlarge or prolong it; a continuation.
  • contextual menu-A context menu (also called contextual, shortcut, and popup or pop-up menu) is a menu in a graphical user interface (GUI) that appears upon user interaction, such as a right mouse click or middle click mouse operation.
  • clipping mask-a shape you are for example going to clip your photo on meaning that you are going to have your photo take the shape of your mask.
  • hue: color shade
  • primary colors: colors that can be mixed with any other color and still be obtained
  • secondary colors: color that results in mixing 2 primary colors
  • tertiary colors: color that results from mixing one secondary color and one primary
  • neutral colors: warm colors
  • continuous tone image:
  • image is one where each color at any point in the image is reproduced as a single tone, and not as discrete halftones, such as one single color for monochromatic prints, or a combination of halftones for color prints.
  • resolution:is the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed
  • file size:
  • Flush left: all text is aligned to the left.
  • Flush right: every line of text is aligned to the right.
  • Centered: Everything is centered. very formal feel.
  • Justified: it aligns left and right puts it in a block.
  • lining: is when its all uniform, same height, all on base line. not any ascenders or descenders. 
  • Non- Lining: the text is different.
  • Margins: The empty space between the edge of the paper.
  • Leading: the space between the line.
  • Kerning: allows u to change the space in between to letters of type.
  • Tracking:
  • Concept: an idea, something formed in ones mind.
  • Final product: what the target audience will eventually see in the end result.
  • Initial Cap: Larger capital letter.
